Nakata is Patrick Shiroishi and Paco Casanova, a sax-piano duo based in Los Angeles. El Sueño de Lilith, was recorded in a single take at the end of the band’s 2019 tour. What results is a band at the height of its improvisational power, channeling the duo’s attraction to spontaneity, beauty, and impulse. El Sueño de Lilith is comprised of two movements entitled “The Flood Invades My Spirit.” The pair begin and end the recording with a meditative dialogue which unravels slowly revealing a fierce and powerful narrative.
Bio by Greg Wooten 12/28/19:
There is no box. To engage in the language of music, either as a creator or listener, is to know what it means to be free. As long as there has been life (and perhaps before), the magic of vibrational energy has served as a bond - as a liberator - as a communicator - as a healer, for all who are in need.
Two extremely talented souls, Patrick Shiroishi and Paco Casanova, are called Nakata. They are healers. With deep roots in the theories that attempt to explain the unexplainable, an honest and relentless commitment to explore the gift that flows through them, and a perpetual curiosity to participate in this special language, they give. Fearlessly, and with child-like curiosity they give; they listen, they dig deeper and they give more. That gift is freedom and it is for all of us.
Let go and allow yourself to feel it.
